Insurance & towing
Hired trailer insurance
Fully comprehensive motor insurance does not necessarily cover loss of or damage to a hired trailer. Before collection, confirm with your insurer that your policy covers towing and the hired trailer itself up to the required replacement value.
Towing vehicle requirements
Your vehicle must have a correctly fitted, approved towbar, compatible electrical connection and sufficient manufacturer-rated towing capacity for the trailer and intended load. You remain responsible for checking your vehicle, licence and insurance.
